A year ago, when we began our mission in Congo, we already knew what we wanted to offer the orphans. We wanted to provide them with a home, offering the care they might lack. But we also wanted to give them the opportunity to build a stable future and to learn despite their challenges. For these children who have lost their parents, the future can quickly seem uncertain.

We are proud to announce that these orphans now have a home, as well as a school built by our association. The first school complex of Noah's Ark is set to open its doors for the academic year in October 2023!

Work in progress for our very first school

For this inaugural year, kindergarten children will have the opportunity to begin their education at our school and continue their studies up to high school. Our association, through Noah's Ark, aims to create appropriate classes and schools for higher levels each year. Thus, in 2024, first-grade classes will be established in addition to kindergarten classes, followed by second grade, third grade, and so on up to high school.

This project aligns with what La Maison de la Veuve et de l'Orphelin has always aimed to do: assist the most disadvantaged by empowering them to take control of their future, without creating dependence on the association. This is a significant milestone in our mission, but it will not be the last! We will keep you regularly updated on our upcoming progress and the development of our school complex!
